I live by the park and it is perfect for quiet morning walks or livelier visits with the grandchildren. The Linda McCartney playground is ideal for small children,(could do with more swings,though).There are large areas for ball games etc. and picnics.As well as feeding the ducks,my grandchildren like to go into the gardens where the fish pond is. ...

Calderstones Park is the Jewel in the Crown of Allerton. It is a lovely amenity for all to enjoy and is particularly pleasant in the summer months. The Botanical Gardens are an experience and are a credit to the gardeners that tend to them so lovingly.

Calderstones Park is beautiful in all seasons. There's a great variety of trees, some beautiful flower borders, an exquisite Japanese garden, a play area for children, a lake, and lots of open space for walks, open-air games and picnics. Ideal for all ages. Rates as one of the best parks in the UK to visit.

Lovely park - separate gardens contained within park - Japanese garden is really great and victorian green houses with orchids and tropical plants. Park area great for kids and you can feed the ducks. Cafe near the park - owner a bit grumpy (but funny) and always good for hangover cure food (sausage sandwich!!! and tea). Park all free - fantastic
