Brilliant atmosphere, friendly staff, great food... We visited the restaurant on a busy Friday night, short wait for our table but enjoyed a drink in the cozy bar. Will certainly come back (if just to enjoy the bar). Great value food... plenty of it!

The Tavern has always provided delicious food, served with warmth and in huge portions. Every item on the menu, from starters to desserts, is of the highest quality. The Tavern is good value for the quality and quantity porvided. It's perfect for a romantic night, and the staff will happily cater for larger groups.

I was recommended to go to The Tavern by a colleague and was somewhat dubiuos as I'm not a great fan of spicy food. However, I was amazed not only by the quality of the food but the superb variety of choice too. The service was impeccable and ambience better than any restaurant I've been to in Liverpool. Top quality all round.
