  • A lot of history

    This former school has giant classrooms and you can envision yourself during the 1850s going to school here, with your father working the mines. I'm asian so I was thinking of all the Chinese gold miners who worked in Virginia City.

    A lovely museum with an elevator and modern, clean bathrooms.

    Enjoy your visit. You will. Honest.

    There is a chinese museum on the main drag too!

    If you enjoy being able to really experience how it was, go to the Fourth Ward School in Virginia City. It was built in 1876 (not late 1880s as mentioned in the overview) and was the pride of the miners of Virginia City who paid to build it. It was their Centennial gift to the country and the children on the Comstock. The stories from the docents ...
