The Nevada Symphony went out of business in 1998. The Las Vegas Philharmonic was formed in the same year. It has an entirely different music director, administrative staff and - for the most part - Board of Directors.
The Las Vegas Phil is now in it's sixth season. Unlike the defunct Nevada Symphony, it has never run a deficit and continues to expand both its season and its budget.
For what it's worth.
