Fremont Street Expierence is wonderful. The light show is just amazing. It has to be seen to be believed. I love all the little shops along the street. With the bargin prices I was able to buy small gifts for eveyone back home. My favorite place on Fremont is Mermaids. Alittle slot joint that is so much fun. With many slots to chose from and excellant cocktail service this is a must visit place

Great time at Freemont St.
By BNel, 06/23/06
The Freemont St. experience was spectacular. I really enjoyed the party like atmosphere down there.
There was a live band playing and also a movie being filmed the night we went.
Party atmosphere! Absolutely loved it!

Great experience!

Loved the shops, loved the lights at night. The casino's at the time were a little on the old side, but I do know a lot of it was under renovation.

Good for younger kids
By GraceP, 06/19/06
I'd say for a young child, under the age of 12 or so, the light show at the Fremont Street Experience is worth the trip. My kids were 16 and 13 when we were there and they wanted to hit the tourist shops versus watching the lights. Fremont Street does still have a touch of the dingy side of a late-60's Vegas. On the other hand, it was ...

Will definitely return

Fremont Street hasn't changed in 20 years. Unlike the strip, you feel welcome and everybody is friendly. The food is excellent overall. The shopping is a pleasure. The casinos are the friendliest anywhere. This is everything Las Vegas used to be ! Will definitely return, room, eat and gamble here and the big corporations can keep their strip !
Plan one evening on Fremont Street! Take the Deuce Bus (get a bus pass for 5.00/24 hours of bus rides...great value). The Fremont Experience allows you to see incredible light shows while investing (ha, ha) your money at several different casinos. Lots of places to eat.

I hadn't gone downtown since 1996 so I looked forward to being there. I was not disappointed.
The shows are great. It would be nice if they were even longer but then they don't want you out of the casinos for too long.
With the casinos so close together and right on the street it is easy to go from one to another quickly. My ...

WONDERFUL!

This is something you dont want to miss. The light show is amazing and the people are really nice in the area. Things tend to be cheaper in this part of Vegas. Buy your souveniers here and save yourself some bucks for the casino. :o)

More to Vegas than the Strip
By primalchaos, 04/27/06
If you miss downtown, you are missing out. Weekends on Fremont street have music, and lots of people out to have fun. The casinos down there are a bit shabby, but the enterntainment and diversity you will see make up for it. Weekends are best!
