Expect to be proselytizedInteresting information and displays. Not very many original artifacts. Do not go if you don't want to be proselytized. You will be assigned a guide who is a Mormon missionary. They will try to get you interested in learning more about the Mormon Faith. It's not a hard sell but it is still pretty obvious what they are trying to do.OVERALL

Strange picture of TempleMy family visited the museum recently. It was a wonderful experience and very educational. Outside we went to take pictures of the Temple. It sits on a hill and is very beautiful. My daughter used her cell phone camera and took a very good picture.

Wonderful HistoryThis is a great place to take the whole family. My family (Mom, Dad,Sister and Brother with their children) all went at Christmas and the kids were able to put on Pioneer clothing and hands on pulling a handcart like they had to. Family TraditionWe take the kids every year to see the rich history of a different religion. They have a wonderful gingerbread parade every Christmas that we just enjoy going to and taking picture of. wow great place to visitI am LDS. I stopped in Omaha to visit this place. There is a feeling of reverance here because you learn so many people suffered and died in the area while making their way to utah. The temple is right next door. Great place to reflect on things that are important in life.Our family enjoyed visiting the trail center. It is an educational expierence into some of Omaha's history and ties to the Mormon church. The Mormon temple is next door, which is a beautiful site and they have flower gardens during the summer.
