Five years ago when I visited there was a land marker but it was vandalized and the area was full of trash. It seems like even the people who live around the site don't respect it.
I visited the site a few months ago. There was only a marker on a street sign and no distinct land marks showing exactly where it was.
Omaha is the birthplace of both Gerald Ford and Malcolm X (born Malcolm Little), however the city only proudly boasts of the former with a presidential garden and library. followed the signs to an overgrown weed and sapling filled junk pile on an empty lot in a questionable neighborhood. very disappointing and not worth the risk!

Awesome...humbling!

A must-see in Omaha! Just to be in the same space that the great man himself once lived is truly an emotional experience. I only wish that more native Omahans would take the opportunity to visit.
