  • Peaceful
    By Christina R, 06/17/08
I like Heartland of America park because it is never very crowded and it is always peaceful. You can take a gondola ride if you wish which is kind of fun. The park is nothing glamorous, but it is a beautiful area.

Check out their massive carp too- you can sometimes see them swimming near the top of the water and they are ginormous!!!

  • Breathtaking light show
    By txchick, 06/13/08
We walked down and watched the light /water show one night after dinner downtown. It was so beautiful and romantic. We were not the only couple trying to cash in on the romance factor either. My only concern was that the path to get to the water is not that great lite and it was at night. Doesn't matter if you are in Omaha...safety should ...

Wonderful peaceful place, we were there during the week, on a wednesday and except for a few other couples and a few joggers we were quite alone. So pretty and green and peaceful!!! What a wonderful walk we had.!
Love to go back to have a boat ride and the lights at night.

  • Great place !!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/28/06
I love the fountains and the boat rides, the abstract and modern art, even the graffiti looks pretty here! Beautiful views and places to lay back to read a book, or sit down and have a picnic. Fun for kids and pets with walking trails and slides. Occasional spot for outdoor events and fireworks. The only downside is that is usually smells fishy, maybe it's from the water. Have fun!

  • An evening in the market
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 05/24/06
The old market in Omaha is a fantawstic place to visit in Omaha. It has great resturants and other intresting shops and such. There are brick streets and horse drawn carages that make you feel like your are somewhere truly amazing.
