Museum?? No, just a giant junkyard and playground. World Aquarium??? No, sick and diseased marine life and small animals. No supervision-just screaming kids. I will report them to the Humane Society-I feel so sorry for the animals/fish/reptiles-I couldn't sleep. The cost? $18 for each of us. I'd rather eat dryer lint!!! Never never again!! Tell everyone you meet-don't go!
This might've been said before, but I've been born and raised in St. Louis, and I have just recently heard of this World Aquarium, something tells me that it's just a really big pet store, I recommend going to the St. Louis Zoo.

Crap, Crap, and more dirty crap
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/09
Notice how over the years, the place got worse ? I just took my grandson there. Never again. Filthy, dirty, smelly. The whole place looks like a huge junkyard. Cracked glass, rusty rebarb, couldn't believe parents let their children play on this unsafe stuff. My grandson was not allowed. Aquarium was very dissappointing. Sick, dirty animals. I ...
Cloudy water in the tanks limits viewing; you can see a better display at any petstore. The tanks and/or cages were double and triple stacked in some areas, which limits viewing. The whole place was smelly and dirty, I have visited the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago (which is truly an awesome aquatic experience) and this one in St Louis is a HUGE ...

go to the zoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/08
the world aquarium is a waste of your money. the animals are sick and kept in dirty cages. there were dead animals on display in a few cages. many of the animals can be seen at a petco or petsmart(which is free). the shark tank is dirty, like every other tank. the staff are not knowledgeable or kind. all this for $18 a person?
visit the zoo. its free and amazing. a very large and well kept collection.
The aquarium is located inside the City Museum. Neither are your traditional museum or vacation venue. These are highly interactive, modern approaches to art and education with an emphasis exploring. You meander through hallways, tunnels, caves and secret passage ways as you view the aquarium and museum. There's a ton to see and lots ot ...
we studied marine life in our last semester of home schooling and were excited to visit the World Aquarium while on our vacation to St Louis. What HUGE disappointment. You had to pay to get into the City Museum - which in and of itself is NOT for smaller children - and is basically a junk yard of stuff... for $12... then tack on another $6 PER ...

Not worth the cost.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/07
It was okay and interesting but to take a large family it would cost all your vacation money for this one place. We have a lot of neat things to see that are free or don't cost near as much.
