Loved the Arch!The Arch in St. Louis is totally neat. I loved the atmosphere. The park was nice and the time we went was perfect. It was late July and it wasn't too hot. historyThey have built a museum under the arch, that is fascinating. The pictures and murals were beautiful. To top everything off we went up top and you can see for miles. Hold on to Your Briches cuz Your Goin for a Ride.This was absolutely amazing. The view was great. Your right next to the water, not to mention thousands of feet in the air while you go from one end to another. The big ships to the McDonalds on the River port. Loved it.We had never been that far east and being from Montana we new the history of lewis and clark so we were so excided to see the gateway to the west and we were not disappointed A must see and take the kids and see the Arch and the view is wonderful.You did not find this review helpful.0 of 1 Yahoo! very reasonable, very scaryI like my experiance with the Arch, it was history to see. But yet scary at the same time. You ride up in this elevator like box(but much smaller)and half the time all you can see out of the window is concrete wall, I wonder what happens if you get stuck. Planes fly through the ArchI've been there several times lately, Including the 4th of July when the Air Show had planes flying through the famous arch...very impressive.
The only drawback is the adjacent expressway Interstate 70 having the name of "Mark McGuire Expressway" on it, since his scandalous history with illicit drugs puts a big blemish on St.Louis, by association.
