I would still say that San Diego Zoo is better in terms of the exhibits, but given that you don't have to fork out a hefty entrance fee for this zoo, it is still a place worth visiting. Unlike San Diego Zoo, the layout is simple and visitors-friendly, and you don't have to huff and puff just to ensure that you've covered the entire ...
The safari pass was $10 and what you get is a one day pass to access the Insectarium, Dinosaur Ride, Petting Zoo, and a train rides. Seeing the larger animals was free! Also, each pass came with a free box of popcorn and a pen and pencil from the gift store. The food was over priced, but for $6.95 you can get a souvenir cup and refills for $1. Wear comfortable shoes and have plenty of energy to go, go, go!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/06
I moved to st.louis for mutiple reasons! One of them being to st.louis zoo! This place is amazing. There is almost too much to do in one day. It is packed with the most exotic animals around. Also i found out from 2000 census that the zoo is ranked the 2nd best zoo in the u.s. Just about 20 mins from downtown. and about 15 mins from six flags. It ...

My husband and I came to St. Louis for a little "weekend getaway" because it's not too far from home. Can't beat the deal of going to the zoo.. won't ever have that much fun for FREE :) Would recommend highly for couple, family, people of all ages!

St. Louis Zoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/06
What's there to dislike - a world class zoo with no admission fees. A wide range of species in natural habitats and plenty of learning opportunities for people of all ages. Hint - if you are there in the steamy summer, hop into the penguin and puffin exhibit to cool off!
I love the St. Louis Zoo. Not only is it free but it has great things to do outside and inside. My children love it so much, we actually make a four hr drive a few times each year just to go. I took my younger sister and her children this summer. They loved it also. The parking was tough but the entire area around the Zoo is in pretty good ...
The zoo is a wonderful inexpensive day out. The animals are always well cared for and you can't beat the price (free). Parking can be tricky sometimes but you can usually find a close place to park even if you have to pay.
Love those cooling fans they have everywhere.

free zoo better than most zoos you have to pay to get in!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/05
