I love my zoo! I hate to see complaints about the parking and food costs--the zoo is FREE! I have lived many other places, and the zoos have always charged a fee. Get a membership and get free parking, tons of tickets for the train and the children's zoo, and a discount on food and at the gift shops. And your $$ benefits the animals! If you go when it's cooler or raining, there are far less humans and more animal activity.
St. Louis Zoo is wonderful; only down side, food is expensive and if it's a pretty day, half of the Midwest seems to be there. Go on an off day or near closing, the animals are still happy to see you and you'll be able to see them.
I love the commuty. There is no gangs and alot of crimes. I loved the St. Louis Arch it was so awsome and something I have always dreamed of seeing and it happened this summer that just passed.
A lot of people from all walks of life enjoying a fine collection of animals, birds, fish, etc. Don't miss the seal show! It is also a short walk to the Art Museum. Don't miss it!
I love this zoo. I currently live in a city where you have to pay a fee for admission to the zoo. I had always thought every zoo had free admission. The St. Louis Zoo has so much to do and see compared to the one where I live. I love the animals, exhibits, train rides and vendors at the STL Zoo.
We haved seen many zoos and this is our favorite! It is free (which is nice with a big family). There are so many animals that are well kept. The staff is so friendly.
Tip - buy the big sov. refill drink. It costs like $8 but the refills are only $1. Plus you can bring it back every time you come to the zoo and get refills!
This zoo is very clean and well kept and even though the dinosaur movie and the food prices were really high the entrance fee is reasonable - FREE! The parking of $10 is ridiculous so we parked down the street three blocks for free. The only zoos better are Omaha and San Diego.
cant believe this place is free to get in!!!! amazing - load the day and all the shows...especially the penguin enclosure....lots of fun for all the family
The great ape exhibit for being new was not very impressive. My favorite area was the seals and the otters. I would love to see an otter exhibit where you could watch them under water.
