FOREST PARK IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PARKS IN MISSOURI, CLEAN AND WITH SO MANY ACTIVITIES AND PLACES TO VISIT IS JUST AMAZING. PEOPLE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND NOBODY SHOULD MISS THE ART MUSEAUM. WHILE YOU'RE IN MISSOURI YOU SHOULD VISIT THE BOTANICAL GARDEN AS WELL.
The day we were at Forest Park there were many people walking, riding bikes, and walking their dogs. It was a beautiful park and very clean. The entire city of Clayton and the surrounding area is very appealing.

Beautiful, quiet eden in the city

The park was absolutely beautiful. The views, the ponds, the trees, just breathtaking. In the couple hours we were there, 4 wedding parties showed up for photos (that's how beautiful it is). This place should be on your 'must see' list.

too many things to do!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/05
this is one place where you have to keep coming back for all the cool things to do here ... and most of them are free! there's an art museum and a history museum; free zoo; free plays during the summer; 6.4 mile track to run/bike/etc., fishing ponds ... there are a LOT of people who go there during the day
Looking for peace and serenity? You will find it here. I love the new look of the park. The new golf course and clubhouse in the park offers an alternative to the higher prices at the private clubs. The beauty of the park provides everyone an escape to peaceful times. Everyone in the family will and can enjoy the park. Best place to go any day of the week.

I visit each year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/05
I love forest park. It's a great atmosphere for singles or families. Plus there's stuff to do year round. The Zoo is located there. In the winter you can go ice skating. And don't miss the FREE science center, which you could spend all day in.
St Louis Forest park has over the last decade gotten swallowed up in the mad rush of St Louis city life. My husband and I recently decided for old times sake to drive on down to the park for a walk. How impressed we were and are about how much revamping has gone on there! Art Hill has been carved out with a awesome lake/pond at the base. We took ...
Forest Park provides a slice of nature that sets an example for other cities on how they should provide for the recreational needs of their community.

Outdoor paradise in the city
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
Forest Park is a wonderful place to spend time outdoors in the city. There are excellent educational and cultural opportunites - the Science Center, the zoo, the Art Museum, the Muny, the History Museum, and much of it is free!! There is plenty of open space and trails to run, bike, rollerblade, walk, picnic, or play ball, tennis, cricket and fly a kite.
The boathouse is known for both their paddle boats, and good food! The paddle boat(s) was very romantic to me. I thought that it was a quiet atmosphere all the while others are traveling in the same area you will not be disturbed. I found if you go around 6pm, you can see a beautiful sunset on the fountains. Also the price was reasonable for an ...
