The beauty of the world in a single garden of delights
When you step into the Missouri Botanical Gardens for the first time, it's like journeying into a storybook vista or a trip back through time into past eras when rampant beauty was a part of everyday life. The Missouri Botanical Gardens allows those used to city sprawl to remove themselves completely and immerse themselves in a veritable ...

The Missouri Botanical Garden is perhaps one of the top Botanical Gardens in North America. The Japanese Garden is my favorite. Well worth a visit while in St. Louis.

A nice place to spend a calm and relaxing day - the weather has to be nice though. The Japenese garden is a must see section. Takes around 4-6 hours if you want to see all sections. There are certain days when the ticket is waived so check their website before going and you may be able to save a few bucks.
This place is design for families.. or even with dating, friends, or all around I guess. It's very relaxing and educational at the same time. It's good for picture taking and even just for going exercise..while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The only disadvantage is if you are allergic to anything like..certain leaves..like I am, it's going to be bad but overall, I would still go back.
Yes, there are plants - a variety and number of plants you've never seen in one place. Yes, the place is all about landscaping, biospheres, different garden settings, walkways, benches, summer jazz series, a snack bar and gift shop. The water lillies are amazing. It's as wonderous a place as there is in America. Don't miss it!
Thought not that much of a plant-lover, I fell in love with MOBOT and could have stayed there all day! There's so much to do and see! It is a world-class destination. Be sure and sign up for a guided tour. It really makes it come alive.
