Country Club Plaza is actually a very pretty place. There are lots of pretty buildings and fountains and everyone looks nice. HOwever, you have to be rich to enjoy the place. Most of the shops are high end and the restaurants are pricey. Not much in the way of handcrafted items if you that is what you like. If you have lots of money and want to spend hours shopping, you will love it. Personally, I was very bored.

Over all there was a lot to do here. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from, i would recommend The Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Changs. The stores are great but they are more upscale...such as Guess, Coach ect. I would recommend arriving around 4 and eating around 6 before the night traffic comes in.

as a kansas citian, it upsets me to hear that tourists think of the plaza as dangerous streets littered with homeless. First of all, what urban city doesnt have homeless? And, secondly, the plaza is in my opinion the best thing to see in Kansas City. I spend nearly every weekend at the plaza, the food is great.. especially the mixx. The atmosphere ...

To many people out begging for money and food this was a nice part of Kansas City Mo. but not anymore. This isn't even A safe to walk the streets in. The visit was a bad experience for the whole family.

The paza is a beautiful outdoor shopping/dining area with an upscale, relaxed atmosphere. A definite stop if you're in KC.
