this place is greati went to the fort wayne as part of a class thing we did last summer and i thought it was a lot of fun. we did all kinds of civil war stuff and had a good time. what the fort needs is a museum or something 'cause there's a lot of old buildings but not a lot to tell you what the buildings are about1 of 1 Yahoo! it is on it's way backHistoric Fort Wayne was a special part of many youngesters childhood memories ranging from tours, events, concerts etc. Today with the assistance of the City of detroit Recreation Dept and it's offical site volunteer partners the Historic fort Wayne Coalition I am seeing a change in the condition of the site. part of my pasti used to go to a school that was located in there medicine bear it was a world away from the neighborhoods i grew up in. I loved it! So beautiful and untouched for so long.i remember taking walks along the river,looking into the windows of the old buildings and walking along the fort itself.1 of 1 Yahoo! sadly overgrown and run downI used to take my children here when they were young. I was very disappointed to see that the grounds were unkempt and the buildings looked run down. I would have thought that the city of Detroit would have kept this historic site in pristine condition. If it were kept up I would love to take my grandchildren to see all the things that their parents and grandparents saw.
