COOL HISTORY OF THE HOUSE NAD THE GROUNDS THE HOUSE IS VERY WELL DECORATED AND THE GROUNDS ARE BEUTIFULL. THIS IS A GREAT PART OF HISTORY THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED
I liked the tearoom. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was very good! Visiting the mansion during the Christmas season is nice. All the decorations are beautiful.
The tour of the house and accessibility to the grounds are great. I've been to the house at least 4 times and I plan on going again this week with friends visiting from Europe. I've been to many famous homes - but the Edsel/Eleanor Ford home is the first home I've been to that gives me the feeling that "real" people lived ...
I thought that the tour was well-done and very informative. My tourguide had been working there for 22 years and was very knowledgable and able to answer any questions I had. The house is beautiful and the admission is reasonable. Because Edsel and Eleanor were great patrons of the arts, there are many great pieces and works of art throughout ...
I wasn't very impressed. The tour went too fast for those with mobility problems. If you couldn't climb the stairs forget the elevator-you only get to look at pictures of the upstairs. Then they don't show the entire house. The attic and basement is a seperate tour which you have to pay again for.
