  • Great history walk
    By Sharon, 09/15/05
This is a long but very interesting walk if you take all of it. (But you can pick it up anywhre with a good map) Being there makes you appreciate our wonderful country and all it has experienced.

  • Great family day out!
    By gail, 09/14/05
Pick a beautiful day and wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the walk! Dislikes: only bad during lunch hour on a weekday (too many people taking lunch break) Also, once the big dig is done, should be perfect.

  • Best Vacation Ever
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/05
I wasn't sure where to start with this review, so I decided to start with the part of our Boston vacation that was our favorite, the Freedom Trail. My fiancee and I recently visited Boston, because his son was attending the Berklee College of Music. This was by far the best vacation we have ever had. We were both not only impressed with Boston ...

  • Freedom Trail Boston
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/05
To walk in the footsteps of history makers was humbling and inspiring. It brings home the beginning of our country and the joys, victories and losses that were endured.

I would love to walk the trail with each of my eight grandchildren. I have been able to take three grandchildren so far. I believe it is priceless to experience in person what they read about in books.

  • Great history and exercise
    By Abby, 09/10/05
This is a great way to learn about how our country gained it's independence. Along the way you'll see beautiful and historic Boston as well as get some great exercise. Don't forget to grab some great italian food and pastries while your in the North End or some excellent seafood at the water front.

  • fun
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/05
I couldn't convince my husband to walk this because he thought I was just trying to make hime exercise so we took a trolley and what a waste of money. The maps that you get make everything on the freedom trail look so far away from each other when everything is actually very close and within walking distance. I believe the trail is about 3 miles or so. I would advise walking this even if you don't like to walk

  • Freedom Trail Foundation Tours
    By taves7, 09/02/05
I took a tour with the Freedom Trail Players and they were awesome! Our tour was about an hour and a half and we had so much fun. It was definitely the highlight of my vacation and I would recommend these tours to anyone. You can get on them at the Boston Common Visitor's Center. They are cheap and fun! A must see/Do!!!!!!!!

  • would definitely go back
    By Katie, 08/29/05
It's very easy to get to using public transport, and there are lots of cool buildings and good shopping in the area. The monuments themselves were very tasteful as well as powerful. Unfortunately, the restaurants in the area have decided to cash in on the popularity of the area and charge way too much!

  • Best of Boston Secrets

Best of Boston is the taking the Freedom Trail, but adding on to the experience. Boston was a big Navy town prior to the closing of the Boston Navy Yard. However even today they are big to welcome military. Many places are free to Active duty military- Like Paul Revere's house for one. Taking the Freedom Trail starting at the USS ...
