Unless you're an extreme Poe fan, I wouldn't waste the time or the money. The museum itself is nice, but the neighborhood surrounding it is awful - and I live in Baltimore!

The Poe house is located in a fairly bad area of Baltimore, but is definitely worth the trip. It is right outside the city - a couple minutes away from the Lexington Market (also a must do). It's really small! But packed with neat Poe stuff. I think they only allow 25 people in at one time. The guide told me it was Baltimore's smallest historic house museum.
