First I'd like to thank the museum for what they are trying to expose. They are trying to expose the evils and greatness of our history as Afrikan (or Black) people here in the United States through their display of slave ships, the lynching exhibitions, the sharecropping fields, the newer Afrikan pharaohs exhibit, and the newest President ...

The Blacks and Wax Museum of Balitmore is the Best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/08
I went to the Blacks and Wax Museum over the summer before I moved make the Marland and I thought it was an amazing experience. I am currently a Junior in High School and I am ready to return to this lovely museum. This museum was a good and bad experience. It was good because I was happy to learn about my fellow African Americans of my History. ...
***Highly Recommended***This is a great experience for you and the family to learn all about some of the Greatest Black Minds ever. There are many exhibits...some very very sad and/or gruesome (making them unsuitable for some children). I bought my daughter at the age of 6. She had many questions but other than that, she did well. Prices are very reasonable. Don't leave B-More without checking it out.

Great Blacks in Wax
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
I love the Great Blacks in Wax Museum in Baltimore, MD. It is the only African American Wax Museum in the country, maybe the world. You can view life size wax figures of civil rights leaders, musical artists, actors, actresses, politicians, community activists, comedians, lawyers, judges, and scientists. The museum also provides a vivid history ...

Sobering experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/05
I had never been to a wax museum before and thought it was kind of silly, but when I went there, the slave ship exhibit really blew me away. Of course I had learned about it in history class, but seeing how they stacked the Africans up like wood really brought it home. I also appreciated the place to reflect and participate in a water ceremony in honor of the people forced into slavery.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Great Blacks in Wax Museum on Saturday, July 12th. It was a very educational, as well as humbling experience. The wax figures are very life-like and bring attention to the most intricate details. In my opinion, this museum walks you through history. what a wonderful experience to share with your family
