Best for fun shoppingThe French Market is like an Arts and Crafts Fair, Souvenier Shop, and Farmers Market all rolled into one big shopping experience. You can buy fresh produce and food with a cajun flavor, get all the fixin's to make your own food, and just sample some of the area's cuisine. A Must see in New OrleansFull of exotic, inexpensive trinkets and New Orleans items . Don't expect to find any great 14kt classy things . This market is fun stuff that is meant to be just that....fun. Talk to the vendors. They are friendly, fascinating people.
