Superb on Oct. 20,, 07Excellent. Wonderful service, even though with reservations we had to wait 25 minutes. Five in party. Had MD crab, Almondine, lamb chops, fillet mignon. Started with pumpkin soup (hot), the best I've had.
Noisy, a bit hard to converse. Jammed. But overall excellent value and service.OVERALLService

I'm going back with more cash next timeIrene's was unexpected.First, they sent me to a back room to wait on my table and the waiter was a total sweetheart.In fact, all the waiters were charming.Excellent service!!I felt like a princess.

The Best Food in New OrleansMy In-Laws picked Irene's for our last night in New Orleans and I'm so glad they did. Walking in was like entering a movie! The waiters all lined up and welcomed us to "The best food in New Orleans!" We were seated in a back waiting area while a table was cleared and were served drinks and listened to a live pianist. Looking forward to going back to New Orleans!I loved the atmosphere, I loved the food, I didn't like the wait. The first visit garnered a 45 minute wait even after generously tipping the hostess. We were told that the wait could be up to an hour or more normally.
