I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. It was filled with litter and homeless people lying under the shade and over vents. It wasn't very impressive.

Not Impressed

It is very small and overrun by homeless people (but it's not dangerous during the day). Walk through it quickly and then spend more time in the Public Gardens across the street. I gave it a 4 on value only because it's free, but you will be asked for change constantly.

Just Another Park
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/26/05
We went in late March. The Frog Pond was de-icing; the boat tours hadn't started yet, it was muddy and there WZERE no flowers. I'm sure that had we gone in the summer it would have been nicer-and it would've been very nice if I didn't LIVE in the country-this waws just another park.

Great place to get lost for half a day. There are some interesting historical sites near by and groomed lawns to relax and enjoy being outdoors. There is a fenced in playground that is great for young ones if you have them.

Good place to hang out
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/24/05
Boston Common is a great place to soak up some sun on a nice day, play frisbee, stroll, take the kids to splash around in Frog Pond (or skate on it in the winter!) It's a mix of almost every sort of Boston resident - great for people-watching. And free!

Vibrant
By Tim, 03/30/06
I had the opportunity to visit the park on a sunny day in the middle of the week. The entire mood was vibrant and relaxing. Many people out sitting on the grass and benches relaxing, and there were many joggers. The kids (ages 2 & 6) had a blast in the Frog Pond. And we had fun watching them splash around and be silly! The rest of the park is very nice too.
