When ever I'm in Boston I always seem to find myself wandering into the commons at some point. It's a great for a picnic under the old trees, sun bathing on the hill, a good ultimate frisbee game or to fly a kite. And here's a tip: The squirrels are very friendly, so if you do end up feeding them. be careful or you may have a squirrel on you arm or leg. *true story*
We walked and walked this park and enjoyed every minute. The swans and all the interesting people. Many good hotels and resturants close by. Go there!

pack up the kids, grab the picnic basket, for the price of a train token and a bag of peanuts we can have a fun filled family day! lunch on the grass under the shade of a tree and squirels that will sit on your lap and eat peanuts! the kids love it! I love it! the budget loves it! and for a few bucks more you can ride the swan boats too!
The place to connect to everywhere downtown. Great shopping on each end. Downtown Crossing on one end, and Newbury St. on the other. With the walk in between having some of the best architecture in the city.
The Boston Common is much like the Central Park of Boston. I actually like the Boston Common more because there seems to be more people having fun on any given day and there is actually a lot to see and do. I also think this park is great for kids and adults alike.

This is a nice park in the center of Boston. Obviously it is free. It is very peaceful and nice to sit and watch all the other people walking around. There seemed to be an area where kids where palying in the water but I did not go near that area. Overall it would be a good place to relax and read a book
IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I WAS THERE, BUT I LOVED THE ARCHITECTURE & OLD BUILDINGS. I LOVED THE NEW ENGLAND FEELING. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN ATTRACTED TO THE EAST COAST & THIS IS MY FAVORITE CITY, SO FAR.
Something for the whole family, My teenage thought this was going to be boring, but he found all the diverse atmosphere to be great and certainly not boring. Lots to see and lots to look at. I compared it to a marti gras atomosphere. Great for young and old.
