We had been studying ancient Mesopotamia in my history class, and we went to the Oriental Institute Museum for our first class trip. An incredibly complete collection of artifacts, very comprehensive. I was very pleasantly surprised. You can learn a lot, and the atmosphere is more condusive to perusal than is the Field Museum. Highly recommended.

Ancient Worlds Explained

Guides were very knowledgable. Not your typical museum crammed full of everything they own. Instead the exhibits were selective and educational without being overwhelming. Did not take all day to see alot. Excellant for students of art.
