Very clean air to get away from the noisy Chicagoland. There are many beautiful flowers. In winter you can visit the three greenhouses. In one of them there are many orchids.

We loved our day at the Gardens! The parking fee of $12.00 seemed steep but then I realized that was the only entry fee. A very beautiful garden and worth a visit. Excellent seasonal displays with loads of inspirational ideas. Many different styles of gardens are demonstrated including an English style walled garden, rose garden and fruit and vegetable garden to name a few. Cafe is nice and the gift shop is well stocked. You have to experience this garden!

The botanic garden is a great place to spend the day. There are tons of flowers and plants to enjoy all year. By far most of the gardens are outside, but there are a couple buildings of tropical and other specialty plants. There are also lots of special events.
