As fun and unique as this museum would have been, a friend and I were VERY disappointed waiting around for 15 minutes after the listed opening time hoping that the museum would eventually open. To our dismay, employees at the nearby market told us that the building was for sale and that the Museum had closed for good a month or so ago.

The Best Little Museum in Chicago
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/08
I have been to the Museum of Holography probably 5 times and still love to go back. I have recommended it to many people and they have loved it too. It is a small place, you may spend 20 minutes or 2 hours there. It is cutting edge art and science. Okay, so I am a techy but this is cool and interactive. If you want to develop an interest for science in children or adults without overwhelming them this is the place to go!
