Ever since I was a kid I remember going to the Museum of Science & Industry. Now I am studying neurobiology and I really think going to the Museum of Science & Industry was what turned me on to science in the first place. I love how you can interact with science and get up close to real experiments and such. It's not just for kids though I recently went there and I had a lot of fun.
Nowhere in the world can anyone beat this museum. The additional exhibits that blow in & out of the windy city are not only informative but a true family adventure! A museum Chicago can be proud of! You cannot come to the windy city & not spend a day touring this extraordinary place.

I went to see the Body World exhibit and was blown away by all the other exhibits as well. It is a great learning place for adults and children alike...and very interactive! I mean, for crying out loud! They have a real submarine and a working coal mine!!!! A must see on a trip to the windy city.
It will take you two days to really enjoy the Museum of Science and Industry. There is something for everyone of all ages. Great place to spend the with your significant other also.
It had been many years since I had gone to The museum of Science and Industry.. over 25 to be exact.. so I did not know what to expect as I took my children... WAS I SUPRISED.. it is as fresh and wonderful as the first time I stepped foot up those wonderful front steps... My children had the same awe and amaze that I did when I was a kid.. BRAVO ...
WE WENT TO SEE THE EXHIBIT OF "BODY WORKS" AND THE IMAX FILM "MYSTERIES OF THE NILE". THE BODYWORKS EXHIBIT WAS SO FASCINATING BUT NOT FOR A WEAK STOMACH OR CHILDREN. THE MYSTERIES OF THE NILE MOVIE ROCKED! AND WE LOVED IT. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY VERY GOOD. WE SUGGEST THAT YOU INVEST IN A PACKAGE DEAL TO SAVE SOME MONEY. WE BOUGHT OUR PACKAGE ONLINE.
This museum has something for everyone and all ages. There is the farm for the kids. The advanced techie stuff for the teenagers. Nostalgic trains for the more mature audience. Military stuff for the 'studs' and a most interesting doll house exhibit for girls of all ages but even I, a father for 25 years was amazed.
