A true MUST DO in Chicago. This is a trip that is both good for adults, young kids, and teenagers. The interactive nature of this places makes it fun!!!!

Over-rated!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/07
I wish I could get those 5 hours of my life back. Hands-on displays were not operational. Most of the exhibits seemed to be geared to elementary school children rather than for all age groups. If ratings had indicated a 3 star level, I don't think I would have been so disappointed. There is no way this museum ranks a 4.5 rating. I've been to many museums that are far superior to this one.

Resting on it's laurels
By jennasys, 08/07/07
On my first vist to the museum in decades, I was disappointed in such a way that one might be in seeing Disneyland for the first time as an adult, and having it not be as magical as it once seemed to be as a child.
The newer exhibits to me were mostly fluff (lots of wasted floor space), marketing (CSI), and Chucky Cheese like entertainment for ...

A+ from all age levels!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/07
Our family of 6 (Dad, Mom, 16 yr boy, 13 yr girl, 7 yr boy, 4 yr girl) enjoyed this museum so much! We came to Chicago for weekend and knew we would only have a set time for seeing everything. Well, we were in museum for 3 1/2 hr and did not come close to seeing everything! We are planning to come back in the fall and go to the exhibits we ...

What an Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/07
OH MY WORD!!!! We were so impressed with the Museum of Science and Industry's CSI Experience experience, as well as the muesum, overall.
In the CSI Experience, you actually get to solve a murder!! It's very interactive and you even get to make your own fingerprint and figure out what kind of fingerprint you have - as if I even knew ...

Field Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/07
Not a bad place, though not as exciting as anticipated. Our field trip of 4th & 5th graders had to rush, too, so we missed some of the stuff (maybe something really cool?). I liked the submarine the best, but didn't have time or extra money to go inside it. The food court was not very good. The hot food was cold during a peak lunch time ...

Once in a Lifetime
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/30/07
The Museum of Science and Industry is every gearhead's dream. Many one of a kind items with historical significance, such as the Heritage Silver Streak train, make this destination a must. I have to say that this is the most interesting, magnificent place that I have ever visited nor would expect to visit. My own city of Charlotte has some ...

Dissapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/07
I would have to say that the actual Museum of Science and industry is pathetic at best. Sure the U-505 sub is worthwhile, the OmniMaxx is worthwhile, train layout and coal mine. The human body samples are unique, but after that what else is there. Its an empty hall of nothing. Where is the industry?? Where is the real Scientific discovery. ...

The best Museum ever...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/07
Absolutely the best museum I have ever been to. So much to see and so much to do. My only suggestion is to go early in the morning, or else you might run out of time!

Body Worlds is Awesome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/07
I had 1 day to spend downtown Chicago and decided to go visit the new exhibit Body Worlds at the M. of S. and I. and it was awesome!! I decided to go on a day when general admission was free, so I was only out 18 bucks to see Body Worlds. Yes, you do have to pay extra to see the special exhibits, but if you go on a free day it isn't as pricey. ...
