The price was quite steep and it was crowded. However, my kids really enjoyed seeing the shark exibit, dolphins, whales and more. The highlight of my three and six year olds' trip was the Spongebob 4D movie. They LOVED it! Just a warning...it may be cheaper to buy the family pass then tickets if you plan to make a trip back...plus you get ...

I had a great time here. Next time I go I will be checking out the reef special. Added bonus was the reptile section which I didn't know about prior to going. All sorts of cool stuff for the science/nature curious type.

Only real let down was the dolphin show. It was 2 minutes of dolphin show stretched to 20 minutes plus of a the "host" explaining how the trainers check the dolphins.

Large aquatic display, quite interesting. Dolphin show was good, fairly short show, however, it was free. Beluga whale tank was fun, saw feeding demonstration. Cafeteria was extremely busy/noisy but overheard that the staff was caught off guard by the number of people visiting that day. Would visit again.

My wife and I went on vacation. This was are first time in Chicago the city was wonderful there are so many things to see and do, don't waist your time with this place. The shedd was crowded the service was awful.

The two things I liked about the aquarium were the dolphin show and the monkey in one of the exibits. We paid $23 a ticket, based on what I saw, the ticket prices should be more like $12 a ticket. If you do go, make sure you buy your tickets in advance to avoid waiting in like for 45 minutes.

Visited the Shedd Aquarium with my daughter, her husband, 10 month old twins and a 5 year old. I would think that because hundreds of children visit, the facility would be more family - friendly. The greeters yelled at us to stay in line and if we were not quite we would have to stand in the cold. The rest rooms are very small only three stalls. ...

The work that the Aquarium is doing is great. The kids and I spent 3 hours walking around. Don't bother waiting for the Dolphine Show. I like to donate money to a good cause, but $23.00 a person, PLEASE.

I first went to the Shedd Aquarium on a field trip in 5th grade.We had to get to school at 5:19 am to get on the buss to Chicago.
The exibits were amazing.It was better than I had expected.The dolphin show was SO cool.
I would recamend going there to any one who love sea animals.

The atmosphere and help there was excellent, and the displays are incredible! My favorite were the Lake Michigan exhibits, and the dolphin shows are awesome.
