Wiakiki beach is awsome.....the beaches have barriers so that the waves don't crash right on the beach, no sharks can get in to the area, safe for children..... and the beaches are so clean and well kept...make sure you visit Haageen Daz ice cream, Mint chip dazzler! And every week they have a "movie" on the beach, good ones! It is unbeleivable..take lots of pictures! Manmade water falls, Palm trees! So great, I miss it!

Waikiki is nice but if you are on vaction, you do not want a hustle and bustle of a big city. The beach was way to crowded. All in all my experience to Honolulu, HI was alright but that was because of visiting Pearl Harbor...

I loved the ocean view. Love the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. Only thing I did not like was the silver fish on the beach wall at night. We sat on the wall looking at the moon and felt something crawling kind of ruined the moment.
It was the most wonderful place I had ever visited and have recommended it to friends.

I love Hawaii, but Waikiki is not the beach I go to when I'm there. I prefer Kailua or Ala Moana by far. Less crowded... better water... better sand... better atmosphere. However, if I had to pick just the Waikiki vs. another beach in the continental US... Waikiki wins.

who would'nt like Waikiki? It's one of the cleanest and gorgeous beach I've ever been, not to mention the locals. Friendly and accomodating. I absolutely recommend Waikiki. One of the main dislikes maybe is it is a very remote place, but hey, it's Hawaii! And yes, it is worth the time and money.

i hate places where the atmosphere is full of people and waikiki beach has more people than it has water!

Wakiki Beach was absolutely gorgeous, though a bit crowded, but that is to be expected since it's a really fabulous beach. Beautiful white sand, crystal clear blue water (like bath temp). I wanted to stay forever (or at least 6 months).

I've been to alot of different beaches and Waikiki is by far the BEST one I've been too. I can't wait to go back!

the veiw on the beach is the most breath taking thing that i have ever seen. the people are very joyfull and greeting. the experience on its own is something you have to see for your self!!!!
