PERFECT PLACE. Truely Paradise, any time of year it is exactly the same as far as weather and the vibe. Oh, and the Islands do call to you once you leave. Aloha
While in Hawaii we visited many beaches, but this beach just make you feel like you're in Hawaii. From the surfers to the tourists, you just pick up a certain vibe from this beach. I can't imagine going to Hawaii and not visiting Waikiki at least once on my trip.

Loved the place. It was a fun filled ,family and, lovers beach. If it rains on you, all you have to do is find a inside bar,by the time you're done with your drink the rain will have past.Pay no attention to the bums.

Better Beaches Elsewhere.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/07
The much-hyped Waikiki Beach did not impress. The actual beach area was only 10ft., or less in some areas, before you hit hotels. The ground in the water was very, very rocky and the drop off was quite severe compared to other beaches in the area. Ala Moana Park has a beautiful beach that is much less populated by tourists - more locals, if anyone - and has a really nice sandy bottom!
The entire trip was a fab one! Best ever! The cultures, sights, scenery, people, were all wonderful! We have decided to make this destination ours from now on! So peaceful, and serene. Easy to get around, beaches are fab! HOtels were all great! We are ready to visit the other islands!! Hope to go again in 2008!
Pro. The people both native and non-native, lots of them. All polite and helpful. The beach at night is fun, a mini Key West Fl. Free entertainment. It's nice to walk the beach, stop and sit and people watch. Better than going to the zoo.
Waikiki has a lot of shops and is beautiful, but it is too crowded! I have been to Oahu 4 times and I prefer to stay away from waikiki unless i go shopping. The north shore is much better. you see so many sea turtles, and fish; its truly amazing. And guess what? no people! In Waikiki, everytime ive went i have a hard time finding a place to lay down my towl. Its bad.
My hubby & I went to (Oahu) Waikiki, Hawaii last October as a celebration vacation - His returning from his 3rd tour in Iraq... If you have never been to Hawaii.... GO!!! It is absolutely breathtaking!! The water is clear as glass.... the flowers full of fragrance and beauty.... and everyone there is unlike those in the other states.... ...
