This museum gives a lot of hawaiis maritime history, including an interesting display on how tourism got started in Hawaii. So its good if youre into that sort of thing. I learned a lot. The lookout from the top of the museum is beautiful. My favorite part of the museum is the whale skeleton and the sharks jaws! Its a good 2 hours to walk around w/ the headset.

Maritime Center is a MUST SEE!

Most of Hawaii's history relates to the ocean. There are so many topics covered it is hard to know where to begin. I really enjoyed seeing how the early Hawaiians navigated great distances. Plus, there are some good exhibits regarding early explorers. Don't miss the details regarding Captain Cook. Spend some time poking around the ship ...

I went to this museum with I think something else in mind. I was not as interested in the information as I thought I would be. If you are into maritime information and artifacts and history this is for you. If you are looking for something educational, maybe this is for you. If you are looking at a way to kill an hour, find a beach and take a stroll...I was not impressed...
