Not worth the wait. Long lines, poor museum, the site itself does not offer that much to see. We are not Americans, may be it's more interesting to Americans.
Can't go to Hawaii without seeing it. Very moving and educational, plus it is sinking, so in twenty years it may not be there. Watch for sharks on the boat ride.
This was in my trip to Hawaii and a sad kinda thing in a why, i didnt realize that this was in a way the final resting place of many of our military people at that time. But it was beautiful place and thoughtful to have been built over the actuall ship where it ad sunk and held many of our man trapped during this war.
Been there many times in school, and I gotta say that it is my favorite place that I've been to on field trips.
Coming to Hawaii and never seeing this, you're missing out A LOT. It's a piece of history you are witnessing, the movie there is also amazing as well, with real live footages of the war.
You can feel all the emotions when you see this ship in the ocean. Absolutely cool.
What a wonderful Memorial! It is worth the wait! The museum is awesome! The video really sets the mood. One point to remember- Leave your bags in the car or hotel!!!! You can and should bring your camera! The only thing I did not appreciate was the tourists who allowed their children to run all over the place being loud and climbing on the ...
It was difficult to stand there, without the tears, knowing that so many people had died. It was very much worth the money and the feelings. The tour guides really knew their stuff. They had answers to all the questions asked.
I don't think I have ever been so moved. The memorial is amazing. We arrived at 845 am and started our tour at 930 am. During certain times of the year it is busy, just plan accordingly. Don't bring bags/purses. Cameras are fine. Other than that - enjoy your time at the monument!
It seems a lot of the complaints on here could have been ...
So awe inspiring and moving....You are at the bookends of the WW II...The Arizona is where it started and the USS Missouri is where it ended...Must see on your trip... Get there early and see everything... museum, book store and memorial...
Very beautiful, wonderful place to visit! People of all ages will enjoy visiting. Best time to visit is in the spring, perfect weather! The overall experience was fun, relaxing, romantic!
Every American who visits Oahu should experience Pearl Harbor at least once. The memorial is overwhelming. The National Park Service does a great job handling the number of visitors that come through daily. There is so much to learn for all generations. I have visited 3 times over 30 years and could still go again.
