You can find everything under the sun for less money. Be sure to bring sunscreen and a big shopping bag for all your goodies. Would recommend to everyone who visits Honolulu. This is a MUST DO!
We dragged our thirteen year old grand-daughter who had not wanted to go. That little darling came alive at the Swap meet and had to be dragged away hours later as did the rest of us.The prices are great. There are tons of things to buy from coconut syrup, luggage, T-shirts, Hawaiian shirts, and all the souvenirs one could possibly want.We are going back to the island in the spring and this is on the "must do" list.
This is the best swap meet that I have ever been to. Items are 70% cheaper than down town. The only regret I have is that I did not schedule more time there before my flight out.
Kia Ora, there's plenty to see and do at the swap meet. if you are considering going for the first time, GO!!! the atmosphere is great and it's cheap. Can't wait to go back. Kia Ora!!! Paul New Zealand
Having lived on several of the islands off and on over the years, we still enjoy the Aloha Stadium swap meet even though we tend to avoid touristy type places. It gives you a chance to do all of your souvenir shopping in one place, pick up some good deals (sometimes) and find something that you couldn't find elsewhere. Plus, we enjoy talking ...
You can get almost anything here for less than half the price you would have to pay in other places in Honolulu. It's even cheaper than the Military PX stores. A great place to buy luggage. I bought a bag to take extra "things" I bought in Hawaii for folks at home and paid exactly half of what the same bag was going for in the PX. Take walking shoes. It's BIG...
My wife and daughter, Always buy our stuff and gifts to take back to the mainland at the swapmeet. The products and prices are such a bargain, and we get to shop from the local people..and not a high priced waikiki mall.We love this place..
Expect HOT weather!! There is no place to sit in the shade and rest. I ask several shop owners if I could sit in there shop area and rest out of the heat. They were very agreeable and let me rest in their shadeed shop area--I am 65 years old.
Also, you will see the same stuff in many of the shops. It is the best value for your money when it ...
Better prices than the Internation Market across from Waikiki. You can get their by bus or by shuttle (just look for shuttles ads in those little books you pick up at the airport or ask your hotel front desk) or just drive if you have a car. I would suggest to go early before it gets too hot...since it's pavement it can seem more like Vegas ...
Take the #42 or #20 bus from Ana Moana Center for $2.00. After you have loaded up with tee shirts @7 for $20 head back for another $2.00. Along the way stop in China Town for lunch. You are allowed to make a 3 hour stop and get back on the bus for no additional charge.
This trip is great fun and one of the best values on the island. Oh, I ...
