amazingly good sushi, fresh ingredients... salmon that melts in your mouth. spider roll made of soft shell crab... delicious and I highly recommend it. yumm!

The food and service is great here so bring the friends and family but it's not a place to do business. Once you're done eating, the waiters will bug you until you leave.

Good sushi but it's always crowded, I enjoy getting take-out because it can get so noisy in there. The first time I went there a roach crawled across the sushi bar. Not a very good first impression...

Reservation is a MUST. Excellent food, attentive waiters/waitresses, and great ambiance. I frequent this restaurant at least twice a month and would recommend it highly!!

The sushi is OK by Honolulu standard, but wouldn't stand a chance in Tokyo, LA or NY. The chef was unfriendly, and didn't speak much English.

I stopped into Yanagi's for lunch based on its reputation as one of Honolulu's best. For the most part I wasn't dissapointed. The unagi was exquisite, the best I've ever had; salmon was buttery fresh & the tamago refreshing. The only disappointment was the toro. Wow what a great restaurant. I would like to thank our cab driver Leo for the recommendation. The food here is absolutely delicious. The waitstaff is excellent and attentive. The prices are fair. This restaurant is one that you must visit when in Honolulu. A++++++

The sushi is AWESOME, fresh, and presented beautifully. The prices are reasonable and are what you would expect to pay for great tasting sushi. This place will not disappoint you, I highly recommend it.

Make a reservation unless you want to feel absolutely foolish upon your unannounced arrival. Great food and wait staff [who are young, polite and thorough]. The owners however... well, let's jsut say, if you're not a recognizable celebrity of some magnitude... good luck!
