tybee is the most relaxing , laid back and fun place to spend a couple of days -- no pressure to do anything unless you absolutly want to -- my wife and i live about 4 hours away and we go there five or six times a year --we also travel extensively throught the country but tybee is our favorite - early in the morning the dolphins are playing close ...
I guess the things I saw in some locations didn't look original to me and I expect it to. Like heave equipment that would have made it through the battle. I also thought there would be more to see on the inside that you could really get in to see.

Neat experience for the kids and mom and dad. We got to see and the canon get fired, walk around the immaculate historic grounds, cross the moat(there had been an alligator in there before)all the rooms were awesome, the fort was just really cool!!!

We have 4 children and anything in this price range is great on the budget. The kids and adults enjoyed seeing the entire fort but especially the tunnels. Definately worth your time.

Beautiful island with well-preserved masonry fort. Lots to see and do including hiking and birding trails, fishing, and large picnic area. Interesting programs and events conducted throughout the year.
Very afordable to take the kids and family to learn and see some of Savannahs history. The fort is still in tact though you can still see where some of the musket holes and such are from the Civil War.

Not even a history buff and liked it!

Yes, I was forced by my man to go to Fort Pulaski. These types of things just aren't my forte. However, once there I really enjoyed it! It's amazing to look at this fort and imagine the lives affected by the history there. Also, compared to Fort Sumter in Charleston, SC, it's in great shape. Nice area around the Fort, easy to walk around and inside - I encourage you to check it out!
Great park with a very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful island setting and very well-preserved structure offering great fun for people of all ages. Great deal for Savannah area as well. $3 per adult gets you a six day pass into the park which includes the fort, picnic area, trails, and fishing areas. Also on the way to Tybee beach.
This is a great place to go and walk around. The Fort is very weel preserved and there are nature trails that are well kept. If you enjoy history and the civil war era itself, this one I wouldnt pass up for the price!
