It is a great value to be able to park your car and have them do the driving. You have to pay to park everywhere in Savannah before 5:00pm. You can get on and off all day (trolley runs until 4:30). Great tour guides tell you the most wonderful stories that are Savannah's history. Things you would never know without the tour. I loved the fans they let us use to cool off with too. Very nice touch.

AWESOME TRIP WITH DENISE AS OUR CONDUCTOR
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/09
My husband and I took our first trip to Savannah and read all the testimonals about the Old Trolley Tour it was AWESOME. The on/off tour allowed you to view the area at your own pace. DENISE was an awesome conductor. I woud recommend that if you decide to do this tour Denise is the conductor you want.
My wife and I bought tickets from the local hotel, Best Western at Richmond and were charged twice what we should have been and were told by the ticket clerks that we would be able to get our money back, which was a lie. The tour guide said there would always be at least room for 10 extras on each trolley so you wouldn't have to wait long if ...
This is by far the best way to get around the historic district. You can get on and off the trolly as many times as you like for the entire day. Others only offered one trip around the district for the same price. If you go, be sure to get on Angel's trolly, she is the best tour guide.

Terrible Ghost Tour
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/08
We expected to be frightened and excited by the Ghost and Gravestones trolley ride. We weren't. Our tour guide lacked story-telling abilities and tried to be funny (and she wasn't) instead of scary.
The Sorrel-Weed House was neat but you only got to look in the basement.
I don't recommend this.

Well worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/08
I onlu had a few hours to spend in Savannah, and I took the trolley tour at the recommendation of a relative. It was a great idea. I was able to see the highlights of Savannah, get a little bit of history, and not have to worry about getting lost, finding parking, or searching out the landmarks that I wanted to see. It's definitely just a ...
I tried Old Town Trolley in Boston. It was good but expensive. I thought that's the price they charge visitors. In Savannah I went with Oglethorpe (based on the latest review). It was fantastic! Old Town Trolley probably will provide similar service (you can see every tour goes to the same places). But the price is way too high. I will recommend Oglethorpe.
The first thing you see after entering Savannah from the bridge from the north is a big sign proclaiming "Savannah Visitor Center". Sounds pretty official, eh? Well it's the "front" for Old Town Trolley Tours". Thinking it was actually the city's official visitor center (which is actually a few blocks away), I asked ...

Great way to see the town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/07
This is a great way to see all that Savannah has to offer. I would recommend you take this tour early on in your visit. That way you have plenty of time to go back to see places you might have missed. You can get off at any stop and get back on without paying twice. Great if you don't feel comfortable driving in a place you don't know. Drivers are very knowledgable and funny.
The day trolley tour was delightful. We learned & saw a lot of what you read about in the books. The only problem was being squeezed into seats for two (two CHILDREN maybe would be comfortable!). If you were lucky enough to sit in a seat alone, it was quite enjoyable and interesting.
The ghost and gravestone tour is a total waste of money ...
