My husband and I stumbled onto Tybee Island and Oktoberfest about 15 yrs ago.We have been back periodically since for our anniversary. It was the best vacation we've ever had for several years. I was in town for a conference - and Oktoberfest was a wonderful way to spend my evenings!
The atmosphere was warm and friendly - the Marshal Tucker Band was great - and it was a very enjoyable time.

Something for everyone

Even though this type of event is not "my cup of tea", I understand its cultural and tourist value to the community. The few times I have been have been fun for me. I experienced food, crafts, and music that I may not have been if I was not there. There are many options to from which to choose to plan your day/weekend.
