I LOVE GOING TO THE MARTIN LUTHER KING CENTER,BECAUSE IT HAS SO MUCH OF OUR HISTORY THAT WE AS BLACK PEOPLE NEED TO SEE.IT'S EDUCATIONAL AND IT'S FUN I THINK ANYONE THAT HAS'NT BEEN THERE ALREADY SHOULD GO.
I love the city of Atlanta. I was in atlanta for new year 2005. My boyfriend and I had so much fun. Atlanta ,GA Is one city I will be go back to over, over and over.
I cant even explain the feeling you get when you visit the site. You get so much more than the historical information. I think every US citizen should visit the King Historic Site

Not the best memorial I have ever been to, but it is very nice. At the time, because I was in middle school, it was boring to me. Now I would find it to be a place of inspiration and admiration.
the walking tour is phenomenal, the free movies were great. the mueseum was breath-taking. its a must do when-ever you visit atlanta.my kids were in awe at the information they never received in school. if you go in the summer months they have one of the best rose gardens in atlanta. the variety of roses is fantastic.
Wow... I was blown away at how the supporters of Dr. King have reverenced him in the building a wonderful tribute to his life. This place was extra special because it was built near where it grew up! Since it is a National landmark, the surrounding neighborhoods are just as they were during the civil rights movement.
The thing that effected me the most was the old wagon that had carried Dr. King's casket in his funeral. It had a feel as if I was reliving the funeral. It captured the impact of his legacy.

very quiet place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/05
The place was beutiful and very quiet comparet to the rest of Altanta. A good way to refress your memory on the american history you learned in school. The walk from the Marta was fine though hot in the summer. You do not meet many people on the way and you may think you are on the wrong direction since there is no signs of directions from the Marta. But no problems if you have a map with you.
When I first visited Atlanta, I knew the one place that I wanted to go was the MLK National Historic Site. It is filled with culture and history about what my people had to struggle and fight for so that I could be able to do the things that I am doing and accomplishing today. I love Martin Luther King for what he did and the legacy that he has ...
powerful experience. Been there several times and am overcome by the historical sense. The visitofhischildhood home and history moved me. The firehouse is the most intriguing because ofthe perspective i am sure it .left on his young life, fantastic place if your in Atl. take thetrip there...great place to escape from friends for a few hours to ref;ect and contemplate.
