I loved the zoo there. There were so many different animals and the climates that were given to the animals were great. They were made to make the animals feel at home and be comfortable. I've been to other zoos to where the animals were just thrown in stalls and expected to be comfortable, this wasn't the case. You can tell that the people there really care for their animals. A+

I have traveled to various cities and the Atlanta Zoo has one of the best Gorillia exhibits I have ever seen. So if you get a chance I would recommend you going to the Atlanta Zoo.

I had read other reviews and wasn't sure what to expect about the zoo. I was pleasantly surprised. First, there is plenty of parking and it's free at that. The neighborhood it's located in is nice. I've been to other zoos (Cincinnati, New Orleans) and only New Orleans was better to me, but not much.

Beautiful zoo with lots to see, animals look happy, and were active while I was there in May 2006. Only gripe is that the only thing to eat there is a preztel, hot dog, or cotton candy. I did see they were working on this and building a cafe in the back of the zoo, but until it is open, I suggest bringing a picnic, there are beautiful places right ...

We loved the zoo! It was a nice place. Plenty of shade. The Giant Pandas were awesome. I liked the way a number of plants were labeled with their names. Interesting!!! It was worth the trip.
On the weekends, they let the Golden Marmoset?, out of the cages and let them roam free in an area monitered by zoo staff. We were close to them and could watch as long as we wanted. I would go back just to see the Pandas!

I enjoyed the panda exhibit and thought the zoo, overall was excellent. They actually gave us a discounted rate because the weather was a bit too chilly for some of the animals to be out, but I actually didn't even notice. The Atlanta Zoo was better, in my opinion, than the new Georgia Aquarium--(too crowded)!!

It's not all that big, and does not compare with places like the San Diego Zoo or even with Colchester Zoo in England. But a good day out for the family if you are in Tennessee. Lots of animals to see. Nice set up, clean. All in all I give it a thumbs up!
