It's kind of difficult to imagine a zoo in a city like Atlanta for me, but my friend wanted to check this place out so I went along.
Admission is $18 for an adult, but I noticed at the Aquarium that you can buy a combination pass for both attractions for $35 (a $7 discount) so that's worth checking out. I just wish I had noticed it ...

I want to take my 5 grandkids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/07
I love the zoo but it cost much. what about familys with kids, low income familys. when my kids were young we went to the zoo every sunday. but i can not afford it now for my grandkids. I always loved atlanta zoo still do but cost to much.
The zoo was ok. It is a little too expensive even for families that make a decent living.I would highly recommend Noahs Ark in locust grove If you just want to take your children to see animals. It's FREE and you see just about every animal that"s at the zoo. If you want to see snakes just watch your step when you go see the deers on the trail.
I took my kids to the Zoo Atlanta and we all had a great time. They have a large selection of animals, the park is laid out very well and the people were nice.
This is the 2nd time I have visited the first was 15 years ago. It is much better than I remember.
The Panda's were the best part. We got to see the baby exploring. I guess we were lucky.
Rated one of the top five zoos in the nation, for its small size zoo atlanta really packs a punch! The top breeders of chilean flamingos and western lowland gorillas! Constantly being upgraded so that the animals have the best habitats possible and the public really gets an idea of what is important...the survival of species and conservation of our ...
This was such a nice family trip out. There was something for all of us and the animals looked great. As a matter of fact many were little camera hogs. We are already planning our next trip there.
The zoo is so small, this is Atlanta,Ga it should be one of the top zoo's but I almost sure that it's not. I went once and never been back and I love the zoo, but not atlanta zoo.
A very nice smaller zoo. Being there in the winter is not the time to see any zoo at it's best. Some animals were off exhibit because of the cold. Many areas were under reconstruction.
The reptile house is fabulous!! The best part of this zoo and they have a wonderful Komodo dragon named Slasher. Go see him if you can and tell him hello for me.
The admission was way too expensive. It was almost 70dollars just for two adults and two kids. I have been to other big zoos, and this on is charging premium price for a much smaller than average zoo. spend your money on something more fun.

It was awful. It had good animals but everything was a mess. If you don't mind food on the sidewalk go ahead and go there though.
