I really loved the idea that I could check out the Louvre Atlanta in peace and quiet with very clear audio guidance. Every piece was beautifully displayed and I also enjoyed exploring the African Art section.
After all the hype of "Louvre Atlanta", they barely had anything at all. I have been to the Louvre in Paris and it took ALL DAY to walk quickly through PART of the collections. I took my time used the headphone 'tour' and it took all of 40 minutes. half of the exhibit is closed due to renovations - uh...marketing department ...
What can one say. The High Museum of Art has arranged to bring art from the Louvre. Such a bargain, a trip to Paris for the price of a ticket to Atlanta and you don't even need a passport. There will be new exhibits each year. I hope I can go back!
What a great place to visit in Atlanta. The building itself was a work of art. Each floor of this loft like museum housed some of the best examples of modern art that I have seen in a while. I was particularly impressed with the layout. Lots of galleries take you on a tour-- this one allows you to feel a part of the exhibits. If you love art ...
This museum was D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G! Everthing about it was Rong, with a capitol R. I'm here to tell ya'll that there is no work of arts in there place at, ALL. So go somewhere beautifull, like the 3rd floor gallery is the only good part to it. it was clean though. Actually it was OK. Never mind it was pretty good!
The High Museum is a beautiful place to visit for all ages. The archetecture is a wonderous creation allowing an abundance of light to filter in and space to walk and view. The permanent art collection is fabulous and the various visiting collections, like that of Romare Beardon's,is what good memories are made of. The museum continues to expand ...
atlanta has one of the best private zoos i've ever seen. the kids love it and so will you. you can even access the zoo on the web so you can make it a learning experience for your kids.
There are always thing to see that we did not see before. It makes a very calming and relaxing place to rechargeand get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. But it is defintly not boring, even the kids enjoy seeing the special showings.
I love this museum. It is very interesting and fun. The price is great for the beauty of what is inside. It is very clean and just a great atmosphere. I would go every weekend if I could.
