Did not like to wait in line to order, but when I did get in, ribs were excellent. I visited there the first time on 08/03/07, though I live in Fairburn. Daughters raved about the ribs. Going back tonight.

I was so impressed with their service, food and entertainment. We had a wonderful time. The seating is cozy, but the BBQ is so good that you don't mind.

The desserts are definately worth the calories.

I have been coming to Fat Matt's in excess of ten years. Everytime that I am in Atlanta I make it a point to stop in. A full slab of ribs white bread and sweet tea.
That alone will fill you up. There are lots of sides, but I come for the ribs. Get extra sauce. Nick Cirillo Natick MA

Fat Matts lived up to the reviews, I hunted around Georgia and found this to be the best rib joint around, I had a rack of their ribs which fell off of the bone with an unprecedented ease; add in the laid back southern atmosphere, the band,and the price, and I couldn't ask for more!!!

I LOVED the blues band. I've gone to Fat Matt's a few times and each time the live band has been AWESOME! I love the "hole in the wall" atmosphere, however, the food isn't that great. It's not bad, but for such an awesome band and down home atmosphere, it would have been nice to experience great food too. And, I wish they accepted credit cards instead of cash only. Overall, I'd give it an B++ because of the music.

I loved Fat Matt's Rib Shack.The portion of Ribs that I had was Fred Flintstone sized enormous. The rum baked beans tasty, and the blues playing in the background, just totally American. Delightful, delicious, unpretentious, funky,outstanding. I'll be back. Very casual, cool and delicious.

One of the BEST pork BBQ sandwhiches I have ever had. The sauce was sweet and tangey, and the pork was very tender and it just melted in your mouth. Fat Matt's Rib Shack needs to be a must for anybody visting the greater Atlanta area.
