We went to Gatorland with some tickets our friends got us that live there. I didn't know what to think when we pulled up. I thought to myself, "Well we didn't have to pay for it!" The staff was very nice and welcomed us right in. I thought we would be out of there within an hour. We ended up staying for a while. We first took in ...
Gatorland is known as the “alligator capital of the world”. Whilst it says what it is on the tin, there is so much else to do and see at this laid back attraction away from the madness of the major theme parks. Gatorland boasts of course hundreds of alligators, as well as a breeding marsh, petting zoo, aviary, nature trail, reptilian ...

Nice Park... worth a visit!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/07
When we got there, from the outside it looked a bit like we had wasted a journey... but the staff immediatl changed that and were lovley... got in the park, all very low key/low tech, but excellent to get up so close to everything.. You get to interact with the less scary animals of the park, even get to put your hand in the tank with snakes and ...
This place was so much fun. It was worth every penny just to see Chester--the biggest alligator I have ever seen. Very neat to see crocodiles too. Shows were exciting and educational. We fed the lorikeets, had our picture taken with a python and gator, and fed the gators hotdogs. It was a great way to spend a half day.
My daughter wanted to see the alligators so for that reason we went. It was okay. We saw two of the shows which were okay but they charge for everything... to sit on the gator plus if they take pictures you also have to pay for that, to hold the snake you have to pay and if you want a picture you have to pay extra, etc. Ridiculous! Personally I ...

Horrible.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/07
My Husband and I took our 2 daughters there on our family vacation thinking it would be a good break from the parks, which I guess it would be if you want to see animals exploited and abused. These animals are kept in small dirty cages and "wrestled" for entertainment. We paid $85.00 and left after 1 hour. I guess some people will do anything for a buck, and that is the feeling we got from this place.
I've been interested in gators for awhile and when we went to orlando we had to go here and it made my day. Everywhere i looked i saw gators. You can buy hotdogs and feed them/throw them to them. theres also other animals a little kinder than gators too which was nice. It was a really fun day and made my trip even better. I loved gatorland! any gator fan will love it, even croc fans, they have them there too.

Good diversion from the mouse
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/07
We had an excellent time with the gators. If you want to get the everglades experience without traveleing to the glades - go to Gatorland. While the major attractions nearby charge an arm and a leg (but worth it), Gatorland is an affordable alternative for a half or full days fun. The shows are great (if you have kids, let them get their picture ...

Lo Tech fun for the whole family!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/06
I think this park is the best value for the money in Florida. My kids are very technologically oriented and love the attractions like Disney World and Universal Studios with all the glitz and magic, but Gatorland is still one of their favorite stops. The animals and the very professional trainers never fail to provide hours of fun. We were ...
