After reading reviews on this website before we went I was a bit apprehensive about what to expect. We went Easter week which is their busiest time of year but found the crowds to be much lighter than any we ever encountered with 5 Disney trips we've done previously at the same time of year. We did not have or need the express passes and never ...
We live in San Diego, so we've been able to spend many visits to Disneyland, Sea World, Knott's Berry Farm, LegoLand, Six Flags Magic Mountain, etc. But we had the best time on a trip to Florida when we went to Universal's Islands of Adventure. We went in the Spring, so crowds weren't too bad. I love the layout of the park with all ...
I guess one good thing is that I went on a down day so I did not have to really wait in line, but after an hour I had done everything that was available since most things were under construction. I paid almost 100.00 and didn't get to do one thing I had wanted to do or see there because of construction, plus like I said I was done in one hour.
Universal Parks were a huge disappointment. Crowded I expected. Dirty parks, unfriendly workers, a mile walk before you ever even entering the park I was not expecting. The employees at universal were disgruntled, unfriendly and generally not helpful (probably because the park seemed understaffed and the employees overworked). These factors ...
I went in July and spent hours waiting in different lines for the various contrived attractions. The heat was oppressive, and by the end of the day, I felt sick and exhausted. If that's your idea of fun, then head on out. My suggestion, if you insist on going, is to go on a weekday during a cooler off season time. To be fair a few of the shows and rides are entertaining once you finally reach them.
universal studios does have long wait times but it's a theme park with people coming from all over the world what do you expect less than an hour? And Disney is worse about wait times! Soaring is always AT LEAST 120 minutes! If you're smart either come in a slow season or come when it first opens there are never wait times the first hour! It's just common sense so stop being over dramatic.
First of all, I am a Disney man. I love the experience of it all, the way the stories go with the ride and the overall "magic" of the parks. But for a 20-something such as myself, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure certainly offer a different form of entertainment--thrill rides.
Universal is a very good place for families to go. The rides are fun for kids and adults. If you belive in anti-ageism; like me, you'd love to go to Universal Studios!
Well we decided to go to Universal instead of Disney! It was going to be a get-a-way trip being my daughter is 11 years old and she can't remember when we went before so it was a little vacation for her! However we done all of our reservations online! Well when we got there the ticketing process was simple being we had our confirmation ...
