Miracle Mile is much more than bridal shops. The area is experiencing a strong up-swing with more than 40 restaurants, 26 jewelry stores, dozens of art galleries, fine clothing, furnishings, gourmet shops and exclusive merchandise from around the world. Moslty bride related, if you need a dress come here. If not they have a few other stores like Ross (one of those "pile ons" mentioned in the other review) and Barnes & Noble (across from Starbucks) and they seem to be working on bringing new stores onto the Mile (lots of construction and a few "coming soon" signs on boarded up buildings).

Not a bad way to spend a late morning (if your a bride expect to be here all day).

Half a mile stretch of small shops, mostly wedding-related.

If you are looking for a wedding gown, custom-made or off the rack, you will not find another single street with so many options. The prices can get high, but the beautiful gowns in store-front after store-front are truly breathtaking. A must see/shop for any bride-to-be.
