We will be getting married at Ft Zach. Looked at all the other public beach options in KW and found this was the best. Beach, shade, trails, helpful staff and the small fee to get in keeps the not so desirable people out. No reason why you would not enjoy this area.

First understand that you don't go to Key West for sandy beaches. The beach is very rocky and painful to walk on. There is a long walk into the beach if you are on foot. There was a topless sunbather which I didn't appreciate given I had my 13 year old son with me. Key West is a great vacation spot, but not for the beaches.

With the price of a small entrance fee you have access to the best beach in Key West. A historical fort on site offers beautiful views and photo oportunities. Crystal blue water for relaxing and snorkling. There is even a small cafe a few feet off the beach for ordering snack type foods.
