terrific food and atmosphereThis is by the far the best restaurant I went to in South Florida during my stay there for over a year. Can't argue with its menu at all nor the atmosphere considering it is a few yards from the ocean. Try the salmon there. It is by the far the best prepared.
I didn't see much that I could classify as a negative, otherwise I wouldn't have gone there more than a few times.OVERALL

Early Bird gets the best priceEach time we come to South Florida for vacation the Sea Watch is on the top of our list of places to eat. We always try to get there for the early bird specials. The food is excellent, especially the Key Lime Pie. I've never had a bad experience when we've visited the restaurant. The views are so relaxing and beautiful. A very enjoyable dining experience. A little tip from the insideSeaWatch that is a establishment that has been in Lauderdale by the sea for 30 + years. Obviously they are doing something right. For the people who say its a little pricy need to remember the Quality of fresh fish that is delivered daily that is being eaten. Also that you are paying for a unbeliveable view. About the Reservation PolicyWhile reading the comment about the party that included a handicapped person, I completely think the person writing the comment overexagerated. The restaurant only takes reservations for parties of 5 or more because they have a limited number of tables that can seat five or more. Love this place !!!This restaurant is best enjoyed in daylight when you can enjoy the unspoiled Atlantic views but it is a winner anytime. Rather inflexible, even for regularsJust a quick comment.
We go to Seawatch fairly often, three or four times a month.
This visit, we had an elderly, handicapped person who was visiting with us and I called to see if a reservation could be made, under the circumstances. Been Dining There For Years!!!The SeaWatch Restaurant has been a favorite of ours for over 15 years. From the moment you walk through the front door, you are greeted immediately by the friendly host staff. The decor is rich in wood and nautical decor. The location is perfectly situated with ocean views.

Best seafood bar none!Sea Watch in Lauderdale by the Sea, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, has absolutely THE best seafood, bar none. Good, but won't go backThe food was very good and the view was excellent but many Florida restaurants have a view of the ocean. I enjoyed the salad but thought the place was overpriced, considering the small portions and not very friendly staff. They seemed like they were doing you a favor. I thought it was supposed to be quite the opposite. the seafood is fresh but you sure don't get much for the price.
