A day high in the sky.This was a spur of the moment think. We were downtown and just went. It was free to get in but you did have to pay to see the show in the theater. But there is so much for you to see so not going to the theater was not a big thing for us. They have every type of flying thing you can think of. It is awesome!I thought it was terrific because of the airplanes. I love airplanes. Also there are spacecraft and activities! For example, you can test the difference between propellers and rocket engines in simulated outer space. One of my favesThis a very interesting and fun place to visit. It is interactive and you could spend hours and hours in here. Wonderful museumI found this museum to be one of the best I have ever been to. There is so much to see, so much information on space and aeronatics, and the airplanes hanging overhead add so much to the excitement of the museum. I have been there 3 times over the years, and it's always a new experience when I go. I highly recommend it for all ages. They have interactive areas for kids.1 of 1 Yahoo! DisappointedI am not a big air/space fan, but we went to the museum for my husband. He was deeply disappointed by the museum, and felt that much of what was displayed was replicas, and that the displays were very haphazard. There are better ways to spend time in DC.1 of 4 Yahoo! Don't miss the American History Museum exhibit here while that museum is being renovated!The American History Museum exhibit was the reason we went to the Air and Space Museum. While we enjoyed what we saw of the Air and Space Museum (and how can you not be thrilled by seeing The Spirit of St. Louis, and all of the air and space exhibits), seeing R2D2, C3PO, Dorothy's ruby slippers, Abe's hat, Jerry's "puffy" shirt, Mr. Rogers' sweater, plus so much more was so exciting and fun!3 of 3 Yahoo!
